This weather is screwing me over!! I haven’t been able to go out for my daily walk/run. Time to go work out for 1 hour +.
Training myself to run!!
Everyday I go on a 3-4 mile fast walk, and this has been for 2 mos. I recently hit a weightloss plateau and would not budge from 134 lbs. Friday I came off my diet and had a “binge” day, I didn’t go to over board but I replenished my body with healthy carbs like nuts and the low cal rice cakes, and I had sushi for dinner. This spiked my metabolism since it was different than my regular day to day diet, and I am FINALLY 133. Only 8 more pounds to go until am 125 lbs…. !!!!!!!
Today I read a post on tumblr that inspired me. Tips on becoming a runner..
They say to train your self by walking long distances to build up your cardiovascular muscles, and then add in short run in between. So today I walked for 15 minutes, ran for 5 min, and then walked for another 20 minutes. This totaled out to 3 miles. I didn’t even feel tired running! I know 5 minutes is not a lot at all but the distance was 4 minutes short of a mile. They say not to push your self and the training is to add more time running as you go along. So by the end of next week I will run for 10 min!!
Time to to have a nice dinner: homemade squash spaghetti :)
